Woke up with thoughts of bagels

Restaurant Review:

Goldman's Bagel Deli
2796 N Roosevelt Blvd, Key West FL
I give it: 2 stars

This bagel shop is tucked into the Winn-Dixie plaza on Roosevelt. It’s a quaint little spot. I got a whole-grain bagel with light cream cheese, honestly, my bagel was thin and sad, definitely helped out with the diet, I was able to eat it in nearly 4 bites. I got a medium non-fat cappuccino. When will I learn that I’m much better off getting the smaller version of a “real” drink, as opposed to a larger version of non-fat tasteless shit. Michelle, my partner in crime for the trip had suggested the night before that we get bagels for breakfast, the thought stuck in my head all night, and as soon as I woke up it was nearly all I could think of. So I did what I do best and lurk the shit out of urbanspoon on my blackberry for a “bagel” spot. The service was ok, foreign girls ringing you up, it’s actually rather busy in there! Both times we went, same deal all over Key West, foreigners serving, fat Americans eating. Michelle got a nice sesame seed bagel with tons of cream cheese and a nice regular coffee with milk and sugar. Their regular coffee tastes just like Dunkin’s, I was smart enough to opt for it today instead of my medium non-fat monstrosity. I’d like to go there one morning and get a regular bagel with cream cheese and see how that goes, maybe then this review will be more food oriented. Anyways, we wanted bagels, we got bagels. Don’t know if they were homemade or not, I’m voting for frozen, at least that’s what my whole grain bagel tasted like. Best thing there: regular coffee with cream and sugar! They have terrible cups though! With flaky lids that in Michelle’s own words are “for soda!!!!!”.

Funny thing this bagel shop is a brisk walk from “Java Jo” or “Java Chip” don’t fucking remember, but don’t go there! That place blows! Buena Vista Deli on Urbanspoon
